Hello again.

Hi.

It’s been a minute.

I’ve taken an unintentional sabbatical for … well, a while. I’ve tried many times to come back to this space, to you. To doing something that fulfills me in such unique ways. Something that makes my soul sing. Unfortunately, each attempt was short-lived.

That happens sometimes, when your soul struggles to find a song.

The past couple of years have been extremely difficult, as I’ve battle depression, anxiety, and multiple relationship struggles — including a very painful and, honestly, scary divorce. My mind and body have been firmly rooted in survival mode for far too long, nearly incapable of executive function. And absolutely incapable of the things needed to grow a business by myself.

But, I’ve also been healing. Over the course of these last two years, I’ve found a new community that aligns so divinely with who I am, what I believe, what I love, and what I love doing.

It began with a single evening of burlesque classes at Houston Divine Studio in January 2022, and immediately escalated to my debut as a burlesque performer the following May. I’ll discuss it all in greater, incredibly fun, detail later. For now, what’s important is that burlesque and all that it entails — especially the people — was instrumental to helping me through my divorce and so many other struggles I’ve had.

I’m beyond thankful for every experience this new-ish-found passion has brought me, especially as it’s helped bring me back here. To you.

I’m gearing up for some exciting things in the coming weeks, and I can’t wait to share them with you. I think you’ll be pretty excited, too.

Until then …

I’ve missed you, and I’m so happy to be back.
